The New American Bible is one of three Catholic Bibles approved for use in the liturgy, and is the official translation of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The New American Bible is the most common Bible translation in the United States.

The NAB is a good choice for those whose studies closely follow the Mass or who like a Catholic Bible that is easy to read for daily use.

The NAB may also be a good choice when looking for a youth Bible.

With its extensive footnotes, commentary, and cross-references, the New American Bible (NABRE) translation will promote a deeper love and understanding of Scripture.

Extensively reviewed and approved by the USCCB, the NABRE takes into account the best current scholarship as well as the new discovery of ancient manuscripts that improve our knowledge and understanding of the Biblical text.

I would like to give this app a try, it seems to be exactly what I want. However, I can't navigate away from the opening page. The app's navigation controls sit at the very top of the screen. On my Pixel 7a, they actually display behind my phone's status bar, which makes it impossible to tap any of the app's controls. I've emailed the devs about it several days ago, but they haven't replied. :(

wonderful. I'm so thankful for this one having footnotes and no ads. the only things I wish it had are - being able to leave notes/thoughts on a selected verse - maybe a difference in color on the symbol that indicates footnotes vs where else it's referenced in the Bible? I think that would make it smoother since it's the same icon !

I would gladly pay for an ad-free version.
