Tried this out to enjoy some art over coffee in the am. Pop-up ads totally ruined the experience for me. Blasts some obnoxious music and strobe light out of nowhere when trying to relax. I understand the banner ads but that popup junk is a no from me. Immediately uninstalled. I tried to checkout premium but at 5 bucks a month, that's very steep for what it is. I also hate when companies don't tell you the price of the app upfront. You have to go to the checkout page to see. Not a good vibe.

Excellent for what it is. If you want a ready made place to go with pleasing visual design to be informed on one work of art a day (you can review past days as well) along with supplemental articles, this is it! Could you get the same with Wikipedia? Probably, but it wouldn't be as curated and visually appealing. It doesn't really have quizzes or other pedagogical tools (at least not the free version) but if you are good at self-guided learning it's good.

I started using this app's widget as a funny little conversation starter, but have kept it around for years because it genuinely brings me so much more joy than I expected it to. It's a wonderful, informative little app. My only request would be to add a resizable widget on Android that doesn't zoom in on the artwork. There used to be one, but now it fills the widget space and often cuts off some of the art instead of scaling it down to fit. Aside from that, I love the app and daily articles!
