Turn a label ratio into the concentrate and water amounts needed for your container.

Dilution Calculator handles three common ways of stating a mixture: a 1:X parts ratio, a percentage of the finished volume, or milliliters of concentrate per liter of water. Enter the value printed on the label, set the amount you plan to make, and read the two measured quantities separately.

CHOOSE THE CORRECT RATIO BASIS
The notation 1:X can have two meanings. On a water basis it represents one part concentrate plus X parts water. On a final basis it represents one part concentrate among X total parts. Select the definition that matches the label; the calculator keeps the choice with a saved product.

PLAN BY FINAL VOLUME
Set the container size in liters or US gallons. The result reports the exact concentrate and water portions. Metric output uses mL and liters, while gallon output uses fl oz and US gallons. This makes it useful for a small bottle, a detailing sprayer, a garden container, or a larger farm tank without changing the underlying ratio.

START FROM AVAILABLE CONCENTRATE
When you know the concentrate volume instead of the desired tank size, use the inverse calculation. Enter the concentrate on hand and the selected ratio to see the total mixture and water that correspond to it.

CHECK A PRACTICAL 5 mL MEASURE
Some calculated concentrate amounts land between graduations. The 5 mL measuring-mark result searches for a smaller batch that preserves the same ratio, fits the chosen capacity, and places concentrate on a 5 mL mark. It displays concentrate, water, practical total, and the difference below the exact target. If the mark cannot produce a fitting batch, the result makes that clear.

USE WHAT IS ALREADY IN THE VESSEL
For a leftover mixture, enter its remaining mL and current percentage. Then choose the target total and target strength. Dilution Calculator determines the additional concentrate and water required, flags a target that cannot be reached by adding those components, and can show overflow against a vessel capacity.
