Draft sewing patterns from your own measurements and print them at true size on your home printer. Pattern Draft turns a set of body measurements into basic blocks with seam allowances, grain lines and notches, ready to trace, test and adapt.
▶ 12 PATTERNS TO DRAFT
• Skirts: straight skirt with darts, A-line skirt, circle skirt (full, half or quarter) and elastic-waist skirt.
• Tops: bodice block with waist darts, a set-in sleeve whose cap is matched to the bodice armhole, and a simple T-shirt for knit fabric with a neckband.
• Trousers: trouser block with crease line, darts and knee line, and elastic-waist shorts.
• Simple projects: tote bag with boxed corners, bib apron with ties, envelope pillow cover with no zipper.
• Six of them can also be drafted for children: both elastic-waist items, the circle skirt, the tote, the apron and the pillow cover.
▶ MEASURE ONCE
• Add a profile for each person, with up to 17 measurements.
• Tap ? next to a measurement to see where to measure on a figure.
• Centimetres or inches. Type 84.5, 84,5 or 33 1/2.
• Each pattern asks only for the measurements it uses.
• Your numbers are kept exactly as you typed them. An unusual value gets a note; if a pattern can't be drafted, it tells you which measurement to check and lets you fix it right there.
▶ ON THE PATTERN PAGE
• Ease presets: Fitted, Regular or Relaxed, and every ease can be adjusted.
• Seam allowance (0–3 cm) and hem allowance (0–8 cm) are added as a separate cutting line. Edges on the fold get none.
• See cutting line, seam line, grain arrows, notches and darts, zoom in, and lay the page grid over the pattern.
• A list of the finished measurements of the draft, a flat sketch of the garment and sewing steps.
• "How it's drafted" shows the formulas the app uses for that pattern.
▶ PRINT AT TRUE SIZE
• Make a PDF on A4, Letter or A0 paper, then save, share or print it.
• Pages are labelled A1, A2 … and overlap by 1 cm, and you see how many pages it takes before you print.
• Page A1 carries a 10 cm square and a 4 in square, so you can check the scale before you cut.
▶ HOW MUCH FABRIC
• An estimate for 110, 140 or 150 cm wide fabric, or any width you enter, in metres or yards.
• Pieces wider than your fabric are pointed out.
▶ YOUR PROJECTS
• Save a pattern with its settings and a copy of the measurements, so it opens the same way later.
• Add the fabric, notes and up to 6 photos to each project.
• Export a backup file and import it again. The app also keeps the last 3 daily copies of your data.
▶ GOOD TO KNOW
• These are basic blocks: starting points for your own garments. The fit depends on careful measuring, so sew a test version first.
• Bodice, sleeve, T-shirt, trousers and the straight and A-line skirts are drafted for adults.
• Your printer must print at 100 % (turn off Fit to page). Measure the squares on page A1 before cutting.
• The fabric amount is an estimate from the size of each piece; a real cutting layout can need less.
• One seam allowance applies to the whole pattern.
• Backup files carry your profiles and projects, not the photos.
• Your measurement profiles and patterns are saved on your device. No account, no sign-in. The camera is used only when you tap Take photo.
• Ads appear on the lists, never on the pattern and print screen.
