Demijohn is a wine making log and calculator for home wine, mead and cider. Making mead at home for the first time, or starting your tenth wine kit? Log each hydrometer reading in two taps, get the hydrometer temperature correction on the spot, and see specific gravity, ABV and attenuation on every reading.
Every batch, reading and addition is kept, with no limit and no account. Your batches stay on your phone.
THE LOG AND THE MATH IN ONE PLACE
• Open a calculator from a batch and it is filled in with that batch's volume, last gravity, pH and ABV
• "Add to log" writes the dose to the batch with the exact amount
• Volume follows rackings, top-ups and losses, so the next dose uses what is really in the carboy
• Every result shows the formula with your numbers and its source
WINE
Wine kits, fresh grapes (red, white or rosé), fruit and country wine. Templates for kit schedules and fresh grapes, with steps that wait for a date or a reading: rack at 1.010 or lower, stabilize once gravity holds below 0.996. Sulfite dose for powder or tablets, sorbate, pH and TA readings, malolactic status.
MEAD
Traditional, melomel, cyser, pyment, metheglin, bochet, braggot and Polish styles. Feed honey in steps and the ABV stays right, because added honey raises the effective OG. TOSNA nutrient amounts for your batch, honey to a target gravity, dilution and backsweetening.
CIDER AND PERRY
Still, bottle-conditioned or keeved cider, and perry. Priming sugar with a bottle pressure warning, so a sweet cider doesn't turn into bottle bombs.
WARNINGS BEFORE THE MISTAKE
• "Looks finished" when gravity holds steady near the expected FG, "may be stalled" when it stays high. Both say why.
• Clash warnings: sorbate with malolactic bacteria, sulfite that blocks a planned MLF, sulfite above the legal limit, sweetening without stabilizing
• A pre-bottling checklist from your own log: gravity stable, MLF done, stabilized, free SO₂, carbonation within your bottle's limit
