About this app
Marivil is a private messenger with its own end-to-end encrypted email — chat, voice and video calls, and a name@marivil.com mailbox, in one app.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Messages, photos, voice notes and group chats are end-to-end encrypted on your device. Our servers relay only ciphertext they cannot read — and delete it on delivery.
• Your history lives on your phone, not our servers. Backups go to your own Google Drive — we keep no copy.
• Push notifications carry no message content through Google. Your phone decrypts locally before showing a preview.
MARIVIL MAIL
• Claim your own name@marivil.com address, built on the same encryption as your chats.
• Mail between Marivil users is sealed end-to-end. Our servers hold it only until your devices pick it up — then it is deleted.
• You can still send and receive ordinary email with anyone, anywhere.
CALLS INCLUDED
• Voice and video calls, encrypted, connecting directly between devices whenever the network allows.
• Group calls with friends and family.
WHY MARIVIL
"Marivil" is Malayalam for rainbow — a private messenger for the people you talk to every day. No ads, no trackers, no data mining. We can't read your messages or your mail, and we don't keep them.

What’s new
• Fixed video calls freezing when the picture size changed mid-call. The video adapts to your connection as before, but the picture now keeps moving through the change instead of stopping.
• Fewer quality changes on an unsteady connection, so the picture stays settled rather than shifting every few seconds.
• Fixed a fault that could flood a call with repeated keyframe requests, blurring the picture for both people.
