The app is essentially useless and does not work as advertised. I have an IP2000 with firmware version 1.0.0. I have a Samsung Note 9. I cannot get TurboControl app to connect to the speaker. It just spins and spins...scanning. I've tried to factory reset the speaker. I've tired uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I've tried different phones, e.g. Moto X Gen 4 and a Droid Turbo 2. I can't get any Android phone I own to connect to the IP2000 speaker.

For those having app sync issues with the IP series speakers, watch this video - www(dot)youtube(dot)com/watch?v=sNBUcMgg950 The app isn't required to update the firmware, just Bluetooth. Connect to the speaker and just push the update file directly to it while it's in update mode (this fixed the sync issue for me). I did find that at each step I had to 'forget' the device from my recent Bluetooth devices. After that the app worked completely as it should.

Doesn't connect to ip1000. Stays on "Scanning" even though my phone audio is connected with no issues. The review below may be helpful for other models but my base ip1000 doesn't have a way to update the firmware at all. All the directions end up doing is factory resetting the unit. Im better off just trashing this and never buying from turbosound again
