About this app

Protect a loved one from long, suspicious calls with unknown numbers.

CallGuard is designed for families supporting an older or vulnerable relative. If an unfamiliar caller keeps them on the line beyond the time limit you choose, CallGuard automatically ends the call and sends an SMS alert to a trusted Guardian — usually an adult child or another family member.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Install CallGuard on the Protected phone.
2. Choose a Guardian phone number and a call-time limit.
3. Calls from saved contacts are never affected.
4. If a call from an unknown number runs longer than the limit, CallGuard ends the call and sends the Guardian an SMS alert.

WHY THIS MATTERS
Phone scams often rely on time, pressure and a convincing stranger keeping someone engaged. CallGuard adds a practical safety boundary, giving the family an opportunity to follow up quickly.

YOUR PRIVACY
CallGuard works on the device. The Guardian number and time limit are stored encrypted on the phone; nothing is uploaded to a server.

WHY PERMISSIONS ARE NEEDED
• Contacts — to identify saved contacts. Calls from saved contacts are never limited.
• Phone / Caller ID role — Android requires this to identify the incoming number during a call. CallGuard does not show caller-ID banners, keep a spam list or block every unknown call.
• SMS — only to send the Guardian alert. CallGuard does not read or store your SMS messages.

CallGuard is a family safety tool. It does not guarantee prevention of every scam, but it helps create time to pause, check and talk.
