Ratings and reviews

Reading experience below expectations. A lot. No reading progress percentage, nor easy to access total page number. Have to switch to continous page view to mark text spanning page breaks. Page flip using rocker buttons sometimes stops working: rocker buttons then work as volume buttons again. Some audiobooks loose progress information all the time: Had to take notes about time stamps when stopping to listen. Other ebook apps were already better ten years ago. It's a shame.

A well-built app that delivers a smooth and intuitive experience. However, two things make it barely usable for me: 1) I read books on an eInk device (like many I assume), and being unable to turn off animations makes it virtually impossible to use. Flipping pages takes forever while it renders a swiping animation at 2 fps. 2) There is no full-screen, the top bar with time, battery, and notifications is always visible, distracting me from the text.

I only use the app for audiobooks. Generally - yes, it works. However, it is annoying that when I click on the audiobook while listening (e.g. to see the chapters), oftentimes the audiobook will switch back to the chapter I was at last time I opened the app. Also, I find the app doesn't necessarily download the whole audiobook when I click on the download button. Not great when you find that out on the train where your audiobook suddenly stops playing because you have no internet connection.
