About this app

MytView plays the video library from your own server — on your phone, your tablet, and on Android TV. Organized, resumable, and completely private.

— REQUIRES YOUR OWN SERVER —
A companion app for the self-hosted MytView server, which you run on your own hardware (Docker). It is not a standalone player and ships no content of its own; it needs a server to sign in to.

The same install adapts to the device: a touch interface on phones and tablets, and a full ten-foot interface built for the remote on Android TV and Google TV.

On TV, scan a code with your phone and the television signs itself in. No on-screen keyboard, no password spelled out in your living room.

What’s new

Subtitles & captions: pick subtitle tracks in the player (.srt/.vtt files and embedded tracks), with caption size and color settings. Switch audio languages instantly.
Resuming a watched video now continues where you stopped.
Library screens gain a consistent row: count, genre, sort and show watched.
On tablets, libraries appear right in the bottom navigation.
The TV-linking QR scanner was rebuilt, faster, more reliable, with auto-zoom. Plus many navigation and performance fixes.
