Okay, so I used to love this player, but after this latest update... At first I liked the new look and it seemed to run a lot smoother. BUT, I was just having the most unusual and annoying problem with it. Once I plugged the headphones in, I was trying to listen to Pandora and this app would not turn off. It kept interrupting the Pamela station and playing the play list I have on the N7 (an audiobook). I mean, I would go into the phone, pause the N7 audiobook and press play in the Pandora app and then N7 would immediately interrupt Pandora and play the audiobook. I checked out the settings and found that the only way to fix this was to clear the que in the N7 app, which really sucks because I lost my place in the audiobook. This needs to be fixed ASAP.
I want to like this audio player. However it has several very real problems which prevent me from being able to use it. The first is that it is impossible to close the app. Even using the back button when it gives you a message about exiting, the app will still pop back up on my notification and lock screen and begin playing music if I hit the wrong part of my screen. Also, it does not play well with other audio apps and frequently stays playing music when I operate Bluetooth controls when I'm listening to audible or a podcast app, etc. If the developer made this app able to be easily closed and prevented it from opening spontaneously, it would be a great app.
Not bad. Love the smart playlists but don't forget to check the "match any rule" settings for the playlists or you can't add more than one search condition. Great equalizer. I wish it was easier to navigate from screen to screen. It needs a top menu that's always visible for easier navigation. I also wish there was a way to export your playlist for saving. I have lost playlists twice in this app. Frustrating.
The widget lost it's Replay and shuffle button in 3.0 version, which were in fact really useful... it's good though that it's easier to browse by folder since one of the previous updates made the app no longer recognise albums with multiple artists as one (a fix would be nice, or at least a choice on how you want your albums sorted)
The new layout sucks, the recently listened to tracks don't even update, it's still all tracks from the previous version, this went from being the only media player I recommend to one I wouldn't ever recommend.
I like the music player it sounds good but my Bluetooth controls stopped working. I thought it was my Bluetooth earphones so I bought new ones. They still didn't work. It turns out if you're using the N7 lock screen then it makes all your headset controls not work except volume.
