EDIT: Naim has being doing better for Android users. The connection is more stable and devices are detected more reliably. However, it still regularly requires you to exit the app and restart it to get connection back to the unit. I'm changing from 2 to 3 stars. Previous review from 2016: App crashes regularly using upnp, connection gets lost when bringing app back up, multiroom volume control erroneously shows devices at the room volume or not at all... Come on Naim, you can do better for us Android users!

Review edited following response from NAIM. For app and unit to work together you need a strong WiFi and internet. Otherwise the app might have trouble 'seeing' the unit even though the phone with the app on is nearby. So unit and app might not work when placed some rooms away from the router. Now unit has been placed nearer the router the app works quite well. It is a far superior interface than the little remote control which is provided with the unit. *and, no, I do not use a BT smart hub.

Hi Simon, Your issues sound like they are network or router based. If you are using a BT SmartHub, this article may help: https://bit.ly/3eo63fd Please contact us on support@naimaudio.com and lets see if we can help. We can run some network diagnostics on your network if required. Thanks, Naim Support

apart from needing to be within a few metres of the QB2 when connecting via Bluetooth, everything is great. Rather than storing a load of music files on my phone, I use my phone with the app on as a remote. I have about 40,000 tracks on a 500gb USB drive plugged into the back of the Qb2. The app picks up the flac or MP3 selected and displays the album art work stored along with the tracklist. Search can be by artist, album name or track name. Simples!
