Used to record audio for both music and voice search.

CHANGE YOUR AUDIO SETTINGS
Used to ensure optimal audio recording settings.

FINE (GPS) LOCATION, COARSE (NETWORK-BASED) LOCATION
Used to enhance search results and remember where a search took place, which is displayed through History. This can be disabled in app settings.

FULL INTERNET ACCESS

Very slow and unresponsive. The notification sound controls won't close even after closing the app. There's no way to close a video, swiping left or right only goes to the prévues or next one.

Decent at finding a song you hear or one that's stuck in your head. However the app has a major bug in it right now. The media control status card will not go away once playing has stopped. You can't swipe it off and swipe-closing the app doesn't fix it.

WHAT TF

A**holes fix your app to allow disabling of your sh*tty push notifications from the app. If i deselect push notifications they still persist in my notifications and can't clear them. Have to disable notifications in app control on android system settings.

Songs never get ID on the first try, it's always on the second try without fail every time. It's frustrating that in the <10 seconds I have to ID a song, I never get any results because the apps refuses to work at all until the second time. At which point it's too late.

It looks like Halloween! Very cheesy and amateur looking design! For $5 this app has become very SPAMMY! I would expect that with the free version but this app was very expensive and it shouldn't have ads.

Why are there ads for heart radio and Spotify when I paid for an ad free version?! Too much of a lag before it starts listening to music. The app needs to load quicker. It's pretty useless to have it hands free when the app is slow to start anyway. Focus should be on making the app load quickly instead of adding useless functions.

I paid for the full version a while back to get rid of the damn ads, and now the home screen is half covered with Spotify! F*#k Spotify! I'd use it if I wanted to but in the meantime, get your damn ad out of my PAID app!!!

Love this app! It works great for identifying music. I'm amazed at how well it is able to recognize music in environments with background noise and when the music volume is low.

Able to identify any song you hear with the touch of your finger and you can proceed to Spotify to download the entire album within seconds. A must have for music buffs

I've discovered some of my new favorite bands by using the 'ID NOW" widget... Whenever I hear a song I like, I want to find out who the artist is & I'll track that artist to see if i like more of their songs. It's the easiest access to information on bane bios, tour dates, YouTube red® videos, etc.. The Live Lyrics feature blew my friggin' mind when it was first introduced (i don't remember how many years ago; I've been a loyal Soundhound user for as long as i can remember owning a smart phone)!! I can also find lyrics the from older music I've loved since CD's & tapes dominated our listening devices (it always irked me when the inside sleeve of a tape case or jewel case or a favorite band didn't provide the lyrics). It's nice to know the actual lyrics instead of making it up, like i used to do more often than not. This app gets 5 of the brightest stars ever! *****

Great app over all. The dates that songs came out are a little off sometimes. For example Love And Rockets came out with the album that has the song titled So Alive back in 89. Soundhound says it came out in 99. Only a decade off but still a great app :)

Heavy in RAM and slow to start what is very critical for its main functionally that is to hear and find the music name. It takes so long to start that sometimes the music is gone before it is working. You should add options to remove unnecessary things like what should I listen too and music tops because some people are really not interested in those things. Good integration to Spotify, but can be improved to search nearest names when not exactly a name match.

Plainly not as good at recognising as Shazam. Offers good features such as YouTube previews which unfortunately fall flat because of some pretty irritating bugs. Laggy, urgh need I go on, shame.

Love this app but it seems lately it finds the wrong song or it doesn't find anything on the first search yet when I immediately search again the song is found. Maybe it's a Nougat issue. Still love the app though.
