Turn your Minecraft world or server into a more immersive voice experience.
VCMC links your device to your player so you can talk to people near you in the game. There is no need to configure IP addresses, open ports, or pay for a separate voice server: install the VCMC Addon or Plugin, choose the appropriate mode, and follow the command shown by the app.
VCMC goes far beyond proximity voice chat by bringing JSON UI interfaces to Minecraft Bedrock, voice groups, environmental effects, a megaphone, and advanced tools for administrators.
Compatibility
• Local Minecraft Bedrock worlds using Addon World.
• Minecraft Bedrock servers using Addon Server.
• Java servers with Geyser using the VCMC Plugin.
Main features
Proximity voice and spatial audio
Hear nearby players. Their volume decreases as they move away, and spatial audio helps you identify the direction they are speaking from.
Voice groups
Create public or password-protected private channels. Administrators can also configure hidden groups for teams, events, or special channels.
Voice and environmental effects
Enjoy cave, water, echo, radio, and Nether effects, plus custom effects configured by administrators.
Megaphone
Broadcast your voice globally when the server enables this feature.
Administrator tools
Mute players, control spectator audio, and configure proximity range, groups, effects, icons, and other settings from Minecraft.
Controls inside Minecraft
On Bedrock, the interfaces included in the Addon let you manage the world with /vcmc:admin and change personal VCMC settings with /vcmc:menu. You can also use /m to mute or unmute your microphone.
Personal audio settings
Customize overall and individual player volume, noise suppression, spatial audio, mono mode, and other session controls.
Optional recordings
Save your microphone and the audio you heard during the session, including voices and effects. Recordings remain on your device.
Floating bubble on Android
Mute or unmute your microphone while playing without constantly switching between Minecraft and VCMC.
How to get started
1. Install VCMC on the device you will use for voice.
2. Install the appropriate Addon in your Bedrock world or server, or the VCMC Plugin on your Java server with Geyser.
3. Open the app and choose World Mode or Server Mode.
4. Copy the command shown by VCMC and paste it into Minecraft chat.
5. Link your player, join the room, and start talking.
In World Mode, the creator connects the world first and each guest then verifies their player. On servers, the Addon or Plugin creates the room automatically, and each player normally only needs to verify their device once.
Important requirements
• Every player must install VCMC.
• An internet connection and microphone access are required.
• The world or server must use a compatible version of the Addon or Plugin.
• Some Bedrock servers outside Aternos must allow the @minecraft/server-net module in their permissions file.
• Minecraft Realms is not currently supported because of its connection restrictions.
VCMC is also available for iOS and Windows and offers a web version.
