NavBlack is a work tool for those who drive for ride-hailing apps. It brings together in one place what is currently scattered across notes, message groups, and spreadsheets: where demand is heating up, whether the ride that appeared on the screen is worthwhile, how much you actually earned that day, and what to do when something goes wrong.
MAP AND DEMAND POINTS
A heat map shows the areas with the most traffic near you, with an adjustable search radius. Filter by hotspots, airports, events, restaurants, restrooms, and charging stations. See other NavBlack drivers on the map, and choose to become invisible when you want.
RIDE ASSISTANT
The Assistant reads the ride offer that appears on the transportation app screen and shows, in a label above it, the price per kilometer, the price per hour, and whether it matches the limits you have set. The decision remains yours: NavBlack does not accept, reject, or make any changes for you.
SECURITY
Panic button: one tap opens the WhatsApp of your trusted contact with a pre-written message and a live tracking link. You review and send it. From then on, your location continues to be updated on the link's page until you end the process.
Ride recording: records image and audio during the trip, with a date and time watermark. The file is saved only on your device. NavBlack has a hidden security camera and records everything without anyone noticing. If something happens inside your car, you have proof.
FINANCIAL CONTROL
Record rides, fuel, and expenses. Track profit per day, per hour, and per kilometer driven, with daily goals and journey planning.
MORE
Black Radio to talk to other drivers, São Paulo's vehicle rotation system based on your license plate, positioning strategies in major capitals, and in-app support.
NavBlack uses Android's foreground services in two functions. Each displays a permanent notification while active, and both can be stopped by the driver at any time.
Location
1) Background Radar. Keeps the heat map updated and makes you visible to other drivers while NavBlack is minimized; the driver spends the journey with the ride-hailing app on the screen, not ours. Notification "NavBlack Radar". Turn off whenever you want in Settings > Background Location.
2) Emergency Sharing. When you activate the panic button, your location continues to be sent to the chosen contact even with your phone in your pocket or the screen off. Without this, tracking would stop precisely when it exists to serve its purpose. Ends by tapping "End tracking".
Camera and Microphone.
Ride Recording. Image and audio continue to be recorded while you use the ride-hailing app in the foreground, which is exactly the situation in which recording needs to exist. Notification "Ride Recording", with one-tap stop.
ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE
The Ride Assistant uses the Accessibility API to read the offer text displayed by the ride-hailing app and calculate if it's worthwhile. This is the only way to offer analysis the instant the ride appears. NavBlack only reads the on-screen content: it doesn't perform taps, accept or reject rides, or collect what you type. The permission is optional, the app works without it, and you can revoke it at any time in the Android settings.
PERMISSIONS
Location: map, demand points, and emergencies.
Camera and microphone: only during ride recording, initiated by you.
Notifications: radar, recording, and emergency alerts.
WARNING
Demand indications are estimates based on historical data and the movement of other users. NavBlack does not guarantee rides, earnings, or waiting time in any location. We are not affiliated with Uber, 99, or any other ride-hailing company.
