About this app

NAZR — Women’s Safety App

NAZR is a personal safety app designed to help women stay connected with the people they trust when they need support most. Whether you are travelling, walking home, or heading somewhere alone, NAZR provides practical tools to take action and stay protected.

🚨 SOS — Immediate Emergency Alerts
Trigger an instant SOS to alert your trusted guardians when you feel unsafe.
• Shares your real-time live location and ambient audio.
• Guardians receive a WhatsApp alert with a live tracking link—they do not need the NAZR app installed to follow your location.

🔇 Silent SOS
Trigger an emergency SOS discreetly without touching or unlocking your screen by pressing your phone's Volume Down button 3 times quickly.

♿ AccessibilityService API Disclosure
NAZR uses Android's AccessibilityService API exclusively to power the "Silent SOS" safety feature:
• Purpose: When enabled by you, this service allows NAZR to detect physical hardware button presses (pressing Volume Down 3 times quickly) to trigger an emergency SOS alert even when your screen is off, locked, or the app is closed.
• Privacy & Data Protection: NAZR does NOT collect, read, or store any personal data, screen content, keystrokes, messages, or interactions with other apps. It strictly listens for the hardware volume button trigger sequence for emergency SOS activation.

👥 Trusted Circle
Add up to 5 trusted guardians (family or friends) who will be notified during an emergency. Manage your guardians directly inside NAZR.

📍 Live Location Sharing
Share your real-time location with your trusted guardians during an active SOS so they know exactly where you are and can respond swiftly.

🛡️ Journey Shield
Stay protected while travelling or walking alone. Set your destination and trip duration to maintain active background tracking and safety timers throughout your journey.

👀 Watch Over Me
Set a check-in safety timer for extra reassurance. If you do not check in before the timer expires, NAZR automatically alerts your guardians.

🗺️ Journey & Safety History
Review past SOS sessions, check-ins, and safety journeys all in one place.

📞 Emergency Numbers & Nearby Services
Quickly call national emergency helplines (including 112 in India) and locate nearby emergency facilities like police stations and hospitals.
