Love the S-Band Radar! It crashes once in a while hope all patch is released soon. I like the fact we can see the weather for caster too, best meteorologists by far!

Crashes every time it's first opened. I don't receive any weather alerts even they are turned on. Running Android 7.1.1 and 7.1.2

I enjoy the app, but I hate not being able to turn the notification off. You can turn it off and it will go away for a short while, but then it turns itself back on. Very annoying.
Though slow, the app was acceptable until it decided to put notifications in the notification bar despite that exact setting turned off in the app. Rogue apps have no place on my devices.
The app worked great until the most recent update, now I can't get the temperature notifications off the notification bar even though I set it to not show. It is always visible and really annoying.
I've raise my review of weather app. As of 7/8/17 they finally got all the overlays to work on Android phones.
The first 2yrs I got the app it crashes when first downloaded and then I gotta reload again and it works but now it's doing great no more crashes so far but other than the crash it's a great app
As I move across the country I am able to keep up with the home news as it happens without feeling fail.
I moved out of state and the app helps me stay in touch with the metroplex, enjoyable.
Finally working every time I open it. Weather and news when I want or need it.
Gives me weather alerts I need to know promptly! Love this app!
I switched from the AccuWeather app to the NBC 5 app and it is definitely an upgrade. The only thing that I do not like about the app is the push notifications. Currently there is no way to turn these off within the app. I understand that the app respects the setting of the phone and therefore, if my phone is on vibrate, it will not audibly alert me, but I want to turn off the push notifications. Thanks!
I switched from the Accuweather app to this one and I'm really glad that I did so! The NBC radar incorporates their new advanced radar so the map is so much more precise. It works absolutely great on my Samsung Galaxy S8. It's even icing on the cake to have news stories to read! I've seen reviews of pop ups, but I haven't seen a single one since I've downloaded the app about a week ago!
Great for news updates. Terrible for weather. It's tornado season in Texas and this thing crashes every time I open it for weather. Not very comforting when this is what we are relying on during power outages or while in our shelter.
This app is great... Can you provide a unique ringtone for your alerts? I can think of nothing else, unless maybe using Wi-Fi for coarse locations if I want to save battery by turning off GPS.
This app is clean, concise, and informative. The only downside is after reading an article it goes back to the top instead of where you were causing you to scroll back thru everything you've already read. Otherwise, it is the best news app you can get.
I had been using another weather app, but it was unreliable and changed information too much. It just got to the point that I didn't trust it. DFW app is working out much better.
I live outside DFW and I watch channel 5 everyday. Not only do I love the newscast, I LOVE this app. I can get weather and news in a second and where I live a second makes a HUGE difference. Meredith, Brian, Rick, David, Pat, Newy...yall are amazing, keep it up.
I was checking this out for the weather but it stops on my Moto z play Droid. I turned on some layers that won't show. Don't need the news just want the weather. I will keep using the CBS DFW app. With it I just get what I want without all the other stuff without stopping when I open it. I do like the s band radar
Always on top of whats happening in dfw, including breaking news. Luv the s band weather system. No other station compares with nbc channel 5.
I don't know what's going on with this app for the last several days. I cannot rely on the s-band radar to be accurate. It is showing me radar from 7:28 p.m. three nights ago. Everytime I zoom in that's what it shows. I have to rely on your normal radar that updates every 5 minutes.

Nothing against nbc 5, but the developer need to drop the requirement for needing to sign in to your cable provider. That just means I cannot watch for live news when my power goes out, just because I get my TV from an ANTENNA and not cable or satellite
Thought I would try for the "real time" Sband radar. App crashes, and map doesn't update until I reopen it.
The only negative I've found in this app is when I receive a breaking news email and click on it, I doesn't take me directly to the story. I have to search for it and most times I give up.
The app sucks, it never works for the weather. And weather men are always wrong. Weather bug is much better on forcast
I love the information it provides. It seem to put a fair stain on the battery. A couple times I've noticed it would freeze my S7 edge.
App works great as long as the weather is nice. Once there is potential for severe weather the app won't load or instantly crashes. Not a good trait for a weather app.
