*Updated on 11/13/20: I finally had a chance to listen to an audiobook after they fixed the below issue, and I am revising my rating to a 3-star at this point. It no longer randomly skips chapters, however the interface is annoying. It doesn't allow you to fast forward or rewind, and doesn't update the amount of time left in the book or % left. And if you need to leave the app (because who can listen to a 6-plus hour book in one stretch?) it starts over at the beginning and you need to try to use the chapters to navigate back to your position. Original review: It's like this app was released without even basic testing. It randomly stops playing and when you press "play" to restart, it starts back at some random chapter. Then good luck finding where you were at because all of a sudden, chapter 11 starts off completely different than it did last time, and I realize I missed a big chunk of the story because it skipped chapters. I was so aggravated by the time I was done that I barely even knew what the story was about.

Downloads get interrupted and don't complete, it doesn't always advance from one chapter to the next, it often stops for no reason, and it doesn't interact well with the controls in the car which is where I listen the most. It should also pick up where you left off but it doesn't. If you forget to bookmark you are out of luck. The bookmarks also don't show up in order, which is confusing. This app still needs a lot of work. Update. The latest update fixes the problem of the app randomly stopping playing all the time, but broke other things which were working before. Bookmarks now only save to the beginning of the chapter you are listening to, not to your actual place in that chapter. The 30 second skip forward button now takes you to the beginning of the chapter rather than moving forward. This app is taking one step forward, two steps back.

I love the introduction of audiobooks, and understand this is a new app, so there will be updates. I am hoping that comes sooner rather than later, because I am running into a lot of issues where even though the book has been downloaded, it is constantly freezing and stopping or will play/skip random chapters. At the rate that it is going, I'd read the book faster than be able to finish an audiobook.
