An impressive open source alternative to the major U.S. tech companies. I was able to find an inexpensive cloud hosting company in Germany and easily set up my own file server, that works with this app, with a couple clicks. Now I have 1,000 TB of personal storage that's all mine... not owned by Google or Apple. The mobile app is also really easy to upload my files with. I like how easy it is to share videos, pictures, and files with a simple "share click".

Nextcloud is an outstanding self‑hosted cloud platform. I use it with my NAS and Docker setup, and its flexibility, privacy‑focused design, and powerful file‑sync features make it far better than commercial cloud services. The app is stable, fast, and supports calendars, contacts, notes, and more, all in one place. I rarely write reviews, but Nextcloud truly deserves one. For anyone who values full control over their data, this is the perfect solution. Highly recommended.

A lot of peculiar bugs on the mobile version. I'll be typing in the middle of the document and it'll start eating the text that comes after. When I zoom in and out, it loads different versions of the doc for each zoom. One time autocorrect only half-worked, where it wouldn't delete the old incorrect word while still adding the one. ("Thersg" would become "thersgthere"). I like this as a replacement for Google Docs so I hope they manage to fix these.
