The app is very often non-responsive. The synchronization within office apps works only occasionally. The most excruciating thing is when trying to browse something on the android device, whenever I switch screens with other apps and return to Nextcloud, the folder view resets to the original window, so I need to go to the desired folder over and over.. In short, the app promises a lot and delivers very little. The access to the data is available but it is not a pleasant experience.

I want to only upload pictures from my phone to the NextCloud server I have set up but each time it uploads a picture it also stores that same picture locally in another folder and fills my storage. I can take a picture and upload it and it won't sync back to the phone but any upload of a picture already taken also creates another copy on the phone. I have 2-way sync off and it still happens. I've seen this has been a problem for a couple years now, any fix in the future?

The app UI and settings are fine. What I wanted this app primarily for is to sync my photos and videos to my nextcloud server. However, the problem for years with this app is that auto sync is finicky in that it works sometimes randomly and sometimes never regardless of battery optimization or even leaving the app actively opening. It still appears after all of this time there is no manual/force sync button in the UI. At this point I'm thinking of uninstalling and using something like FolderSync
