About this app

pCloud is the secure place where you can store, preview and share files, anywhere you go. Start with up to 10 GB free storage.

You'll be able to backup photos and videos from your device, play your personal playlists, or preview work-related documents. You'll also be able to share large files with anyone and add extra security like password protection and expiration date. From your vacation photos to videos and work documents, pCloud brings all your files together.

• Start with up to 10 GB free. Extend the space on your phone with up to 2 TB
• Choose where to store your files - in the United States or the European Union.
• Access and preview files across all your devices
• Backup photos and videos from your phone with the option Automatic Upload
• Share large files with added security (password protection, expiration date)
• Play your personal music collection with the built-in audio player
• Get offline access to important files, when you're on the go
• Encrypt private files with client-side encryption, using pCloud Encryption

Use pCloud Encryption as the vault for your passwords, financial reports or other sensitive documents. The files you upload to the Crypto folder will be protected with client-side encryption. This means that they will be encrypted before they get uploaded to pCloud. With pCloud's zero-knowledge privacy policy we, as a service provider, will not know what kind of data you store in the Crypto folder.

pCloud is also available for iOS, desktop (Windows, macOS and Linux) and from my.pCloud.com.

pCloud app is pretty good. I like the built-in areas for music, phots, etc in addition to just file browsing. However, it's missing a few basic features that similar apps have: No option to sort pictures by "Date Taken", so photos are out of order if modified. No option for music player to group by genre. No option for "On this day" feature that displays pictures and videos from this day in past years.

Excel does not work well in pCloud. When I open my excel data sheet, it will open using Excel but it freezes. I may or may not be able to update 1 cell then it freezes again. I have to close the file and reopen it multiple times but frequently it would still be frozen. I have to down load the file, work on it outside of pCloud and then re-upload and replace the file in the cloud. Terrible, terrible interface. One issue after another since last year. I am about had it with pCloud.

The are three key features that really like. One, is the fact that the virtual drive only shows under "my computer" after you logged in and disappeared once you logged out. Second, you have an incrypted folder within that virtual drive, of which you have the option to use a different set of password to lock it than the original password for your virtual pCloud drive. And third, not even pCloud support can help you access the incrypted folder if you don't remember it's password.
