I really want to like pcloud but the mobile app is average at best. Image uploads are unreliable and often require pausing and resuming to get them to continue uploading. Onedrive is easier to use, better to access photos from and just an all round easier experience. Pcloud may be faster and may be more secure, I don't know in reality but it's app usability is just not there yet. Look forward to seeing improvements. Would be good to see a scheduling feature for uploads i.e to be able to set uploads for a particular time and day.
pCloud on the desktop is brilliant, and has a few edges over DropBox, especially when it comes to security and disk-space saving features. It's great for road warriors like me. However, this mobile app hangs on opening (Galaxy Note 8) and needs some love from the vendor. So far, it's been impossible to use.
Desktop app is brilliant. It will not take any space on the PC. It will act as an external hard disk. But in case of android app. It is not the best one. The application needs so much improvement. Basically the sync on the application is not so much faster. If we create a folder or added a file from web or desktop, it will not reflected immediately on the application. Also we don't have a refresh option in the application. If refresh button is there, we can manually refresh to see the changes. Unfortunately it is not there. Please add this option in the next update. Also, during the first login time. its taking too much time to load completly. its showing 0% all the time.
Worst mobile app ever... It uses only 1Mbps Of speed out of my 50 Mbps of WiFi connection. Please update your downloader.
Great cloud service. I love the download and upload links. One can even host simple websites on the public folder. Also storing music in the cloud and playing through the app is awesome. I have a lot of classical music that would fill up my phone.
I love the pCloud story and am invested in it as a Lifetime user. As people have said, the desktop app is great, has its unique selling proposition over the others, but the whole point of Cloud backup is multi device management and this app is buggy to say the least. When uploading files states "Waiting for WiFi" even though it's connected. Have to turn it off and on to get it going. I had to contact support because my total storage used was saying 46gb even though I had 200gb on there. I was told to download the old version which has resolved some issues including the one I just mentioned. When you click on a file and click "open with" it just opens with the default app anyway making that function redundant. I prefer to download my video files to my phone to view for stability, but it can often be a real chore. Some files download flawlessly, but often they fail multiple times and you have to resume them. So, I hope this post is useful to the development team and I'm happy to assist with further feedback if required. I will certainly up my rating when these issues are resolved. That said, the desktop app is really great and music streaming is great. There definitely are a lot of positives, just the apps need more attention. Lowering my rating to 2 because of all the spam votes this app gets. I understand you need a good score to entice new customers, but work on the app and the feedback we are providing rather than this approach.
