Notes:
• Google Fit needs to be installed and permissions enabled in order for Ingress to accurately track your steps.
• Fitness information is critical to app functionality, fraud and abuse prevention, app security, and compliance. Steps and Distance permissions are needed for Kinetic Capsule and Bounty progression. Calories Burned permission is needed for the Weekly Fitness Report (FITREP) summary.
• It is recommended to play Ingress while connected to a network in order to obtain accurate location information. Agents walk, pedal, and roll to move.
• This app is free-to-play and offers in-game purchases. It is optimized for smartphones that have 2GB RAM or more, with Android 10 or newer installed. Ingress may not run on certain devices even if they have compatible OS versions installed.

Ratings and reviews

I played Ingress for years, beginning in year two (Agent Name: Chizuki), but ever since they added the ability to buy items with real money that provide an advantage and most players stopped farming as much, the game has become pay to win and is no longer fun. I tried to give it a fair shot, checking back in on the game over the years since and seeing how things were going, but I think it's safe to say that this game is just a zombie of its former self. Farewell, Ingress. You suck now.

Enshittified game. Unresponsive UI. Players' actions/data used for war tech. So. Much. Lag. All. The. Time. Have to force stop and clear cache just to get the dailies to refresh. Completed assignments can take 10s of minutes to register. Way too much pay to play. If the basic game functioned well, it wouldn't be so bad. Cancelled core after 2+ years.

Doctor's orders, "Get more exercise!" I know that I will never go to a gym. So what's an old fat gamer to do . . . GPS games! Glad to see that there are more of them out there today. However most are not my genre. Scanning the list I'm happy to see an old favorite with an upgrade. Ingres is now Ingress Prime! Love the premise, and the game play. But more than that, love the community; no matter the faction. So pick s side and get out there and explore your surroundings.
