Note: Ingress uses the "Read_Contacts" app permission to make it easier to invite your friends to join you in your mission to save the world. The app will not contact anyone without your explicit action to recruit a particular friend.

Request for ingress next update. Dear Ingress developer, 1. Please add sort by faction in portal key (not only by distance and by Title). It will be easier for agents to recharge their portals. 2. When Recharging, after "Need more XM." Please make it automatic to choose power cube and back to the portal to continue recharge. Thank you. Regards, Agent: handysand

Used to love it... Now there's bugs. (STILL hasn't been fixed) Used to work flawlessly on my older phone, aside from minor gps hiccups that would quickly correct themselves. Now on my new phone, I get the "Scanner disabled" message with a static overlay every few seconds, and my player icon constantly faces north. I looked around on forums, employees said they couldn't reproduce the issue that many others are having. Many of my friends that've tried this game on their new-gen phones also had an issue with their compass. My compass and gps also works fine on other apps.

Unbalanced gameplay The game itself is extremely basic, the mini. Issue is the "anomalies" are a joke they always favor the enlightened and when. The resistance wins it's an inconvenience for their story telling. The way they do anomalies it's geared to make whoever they want to win to win. Wins do not even feel like wins. They have sponsors who have too much influence over their events. Avoid anomalies at all costs, goto first Saturdays to meet with other players. And do not buy any items from them.

The Perfect Game ... that is Not a Game Addictive, smart, and sometimes the only driving force to get me out of my house and exploring the world around me. I absolutely love this game: it has a good ongoing story, a great community, and just about something for everyone. Join the Enlightened. Join the Resistance. Fight for the future of the world.

This will be a great team based game if... they can find ways to identify and block pervasive cheating by a very small percentage of players which has an impact on their events and large scale team actions. I'll update this Review again if I see that happening.

Map keeps disappearing The main issue is that after 5 min of play the map disappears, portals are there and float on the black background. My partner has the same issue, restart helps for another 5 min. Sometimes the game laggs and it's impossible to recharge a portal. Sometimes attack notifications come 2-3 minutes after attack and it's simply too late to do anything. The game really needs more chat options, like pm for example. It would be great to have more key sorting options as well. Also, WHEN WE GET TO SUBMIT NEW PORTALS?!
Needs extetnal gps support I have a great lg phone that slhas one fault - it has dteadful GPS. But i usually use external gps receiver i use while traveling for superior precision. It just wouldnt work with Ingress. What a shame :-(
Fun at first, then you discover cheaters run the game The original intent of the game is awesome. I love that I can go walk somewhere and hack, link and mod. Then came the gps spoofers and hackers. One virulent jerk has made my area impossible. He has been banned, but he's running many accounts. Until Niantic fixes the issue with game cheaters, they will continue the lose players.
.... Bugs ... Still. Occasionally the map disappears with no roads or geographical reference. Portals still appear and i still have ability to interact although I find myself frequently restarting app. S7 and iPhone same issues tho iPhone seems more stable at times.
Not Worth Playing In Charlotte This game has awesome PvP, multiple game layers, and potential for a great community. However, in the CLT area one to three players have literally ruined the game for both sides continuously for months now and Niantic seems to be unable to do anything about it.
Partial behavior towards Resistance Many people report Niantic labs partial behavior towards Resistance players. There are no safeguards against Guardian hunting and no action is taken against Resistance defaulters. So reducing 2 stars for this and other in-game nuisance like speed locking which is a nightmare for bus commuters.
Changed my life This "game" has become one of the most important things in my life, it changed my way to see the world and gave me the opportunity to meet new friends and visit a lot... A LOT OF PLACES.
Idiots running this game See what you have done to the Hague case. 1. PMGO players are chasing Pokemons, not the gyms, so there's no reason to delete the gyms(portals) at the first place; 2. And you deleted the portals which are not the ones actually attract people; 3. It's so stupid to share the same database for two different games, if you'd like to delete gyms, sure , go and do it. What the hell is wrong with us Ingress players? What are you thinking about?

Entertaining, yet made me hate random strangers While perhaps funny when playing with friends, but seeing an 'enemy' running your 'work' in a minute makes you question your priorities - this is not for me, I don't want to spend my time hating someone I not even met.
Still not yet been fixed. What happened to this game ? Cannot login stuck on the loading circle..Currently using android 6.0 Asus ZenFone 2 ZE551ML. Already been a month still no Ingress engineer fixing this bug...
Nice game. It helps me to make new friends, travel around the city and keep fit. It is addictive. BUT: Could developer ban those spam in in-game COMM?
It's a great game.♡ That you and your family or friends can play together in a open world game but if you are on the opposite team then your mortal enemies but it's a fun game to play and anyone to get join for free join us if you can make the world a lot safer place for all of us. Oh and make sure you joined the resistance where 20% Cooler then enlightened.
Unplayable I cannot play on my current tablet. With luck, a future version will let me do that once again. (Sadly, one upgrade later, it still doesn't work.)
Interesting game play. App is dodgy when GPS lock or data bad.
Won't start When i log in the loading screen just spins the for an hour.(looks good tho so i'll give you more stars)
Huh there is wireless positioning too GPS lock to check my notifications? Jeez I aint go outside just to scan the nearby area.

Stuck at circling sreen After factory data reset, stuck at circling logo screen, even not asking app engine permission
Addictive game but there is a lot of cheating going on. Players with multiple accounts, players buying gear not available from Ingress, spoofing, etc...
Love it! Only problem is I don't have enough time to play. Renaming the capsules would massively improve it too!
A reason to get moving A game that encourages people to move around and explore. Also include a good amount of strategy in play as well as a helpful community. Also, there are free events held by Niantic for everyone to take part. Well done!
Cheaters are rampant! Anyone with a rooted device can fake their location. Anyone can run more than one account. Niantic have done nothing to stop these cheaters. In fact, they actively encourage cheating, by refusing to ban said cheaters. And holy crap, just when I thought it was impossible to make the UI layout any worse, you managed to make it damn near unusable. Set buttons to relative size, not absolute!
Bugs Cant recharge remotely sometimes. Cant deploy anything sometimes and it actually removes it from inventory only. Portal keys missing. Really is annoying.
Doesn't work The app doesn't work on marshmallow ZenFone 2. Edit: 1.107 still not working
New places everyday I love it! I've met soo many nice and caring people since I've joined EN and been places I never thought I'd go before. It's an on going adventure. 🙂

great!!! but, why i cant add more portal, in my area, only 2 portal ini radius 50 KM, please, add feature to add or make portal like the training does.

Wonderful Game This game is the only game I can still play after such a long time. Although the activities are getting more boring, with more and more players it can still be really enjoying.
Disappeared from Android Wear? After the last update, it appears to have disappeared from my watch... Is this intentional, or has anyone else had this issue?
Great game Interactive fun and entertaining. You can play carelessly or strategically. You can play alone or with thousands of people. Makes it allot of fun. Not to mention the events I wish I could go to.
