About GARV - Delhi App
GARV - Delhi, an acronym for Group of Active & Ready Volunteers of Civil Defence Corps, Delhi, has been developed by Directorate of Civil Defence, Delhi to share real time data on various activities of members of Civil Defence Corps among the registered and active members and othe authorities of Civil Defence Corps.
Though the information on Civil Defence Corps, Delhi had been made available through an android mobile application with similar name by the Directorate of Civil Defence, New Delhi through static pages, the activities of members of Civil Defence Corps was not recorded properly. GARV - Delhi mobile application is developed to provide data on members of Civil Defence Corps on real time basis in synchronisation with CDV Software accessed through the web portal civildefence.delhi.gov.in.
At GARV - Delhi App, the registered users can receive notice for nishkam Sewa generated by respective Controller Civil Defence/ District Magistrates. The users can apply for nishkam Sewa against notices. If they are selected for nishkam Sewa and their names appear in the Batch formed for Nishkam Sewa, then they would be able to mark attendance on the basis of geo-tagging of their location within a well defined radius of actual location of duty.
The CDV Software and the GARV - Delhi mobile application are the sincere efforts by Directorate of Civil Defence, Delhi to ensure transparency in Civil Defence Corps in public interest and to motivate more able and sincere persons to enroll in Civil Defence Corps to serve the nation. More features would be added soon with the updated versions.
