What is The Blue Light?

The human eye can sense electromagnetic waves between 380-780 nm. The blue light is composed of the components between 380-500 nm and has the highest energy of light that we can see. It is also produced by non-natural light sources (electronic devices) other than the Sun.

Damages of The Blue Light

As a result of scientific studies committed, long-term exposure to blue light has been found to damage tissues in the retina layer. At the same time, it was found that it also inhibited the secretion late of the melatonin hormone which affects the circadian rhythms including the sleep cycle. It also increases the risk of diseases such as Age Related Macular Degeneration(AMD).

If I could give this a zero I would. As soon as I downloaded and gave access, it took over and said I basically couldn't tap or click on anything bc it didn't have the feature. I tried using my home button/ open apps and was becoming very concerned I wouldn't be able to turn it off or get rid of it. Lyckily I was, but I WOULD NOT reccommend AT ALL.

Finally a blue light filter app with minimal permission allowed! While looking for such app, I found some that ask access to camera to take videos and pictures, and others asking to read the content displayed on screen, which is dangerous! Thanks to this app, I'm not exposing my data

Requires only necessary permissions - huge plus! The only negative point is, that there is no explanation to the different color modes. Do they all filter the blue light? By what extent? What are the differences?
