Close Linker is a beta Android app for swapping files with someone nearby.

It is built for local, consent based file exchange. Two nearby Android users open the app, connect, accept, and swap files directly between their phones.

Close Linker is not a social media feed, cloud storage app, or public posting platform. It is for times when you want to share with the person nearby without turning the file into a public internet post.

How it works:

1. Add files to your Close Linker pipeline.
2. Connect with another nearby Close Linker user.
3. One person starts the swap.
4. The other person accepts.
5. Each phone sends one file and receives one file.
6. Tap Open last received to view what you received.

The pipeline is a simple queue of files waiting to be shared. Close Linker sends the oldest file in your pipeline first, making file swapping simple and repeatable.

Possible uses:

Swap photos, videos, audio, PDFs, or other files with friends.

Share files at events, meetups, markets, clubs, or campuses.

Exchange creative samples, flyers, posters, notes, or local information.

Test nearby file sharing without posting files publicly online.

Share directly with someone nearby instead of creating a public link or social media upload.

Close Linker is useful when you want file sharing to feel local, direct, and human.

Important beta note:

Close Linker is currently in beta testing. Some features, wording, and device behavior may still change. Please use test files or copies of files while testing.

Only share files you are comfortable giving to another person. Once a file is received on another phone, that person may open, save, export, delete, copy, or share it using other apps. Close Linker does not promise secrecy or protection after a file has been received.

For best results:

Keep both phones nearby.

Keep the app open during transfers.

Avoid testing with very low battery.

Allow required nearby device and notification permissions.

Follow any battery or settings warnings shown by the app.

Tester feedback is welcome. If something is confusing, slow, broken, or unclear, please send feedback so Close Linker can be improved before wider release.
