Install, enable it as a keyboard, tap any input field, switch to the scanner keyboard and scan. No app switching, no copy-paste, no special setup, and no changes to your existing systems.

Ratings and reviews

I have been testing many scanning keyboard apps. This one is by far the fastest, most accurate, and easiest scanner to use, however, for all the attention they put into scanning, they woefully excluded in the keyboard portion of the app. Features that are standard in most keyboard apps have been omitted like automatic spacing, auto correct, cursor keys, etc. I would give this a 5 star rating without hesitation if they incorporated these otherwise standard features. The price is reasonable.

I know the keyboard part of this app is not as feature-rich as my default input method on my Pixel, but that is not the reason to dislike this app. It does its job well that it said it would do. And the UI is convenient. Just scan a QR code and boom you will get it in your text input box. It even works in a picky game that I'm playing. Another competitor app with higher stars is not compatible with the said game. For that reason, I give this app 5 stars.

Barcode & QR Scanner Keyboard is a really useful app, and the keyboard-based scanning feature works well for my workflow. One feature request: could you add an option to use the front-facing camera as the default scanner camera? Alternatively, it would be great if the app could remember the last camera selected and use that camera the next time scanning starts. That small setting would make the app even faster and more convenient to use.
