The app has a function where you select how much time you need when parking. It won't let you choose the right time, but forces you to pay for the maximum time. I was faced with the option to overpay for parking or risk a ticket. The customer support rep said ParkMobile can't refund overpayments. So abusive. Imagine if a parking meter demanded a ten dollar bill when you only owed a few quarters...

I parked in lot 9094 in Tampa, FL, and chose the minimum of 2 hours 14 mins. I tried to do less, but it would not allow me. Before I proceeded to payment, it showed $4.45 for charge. I proceeded to payment, and it automatically switched to the maximum amount of time and charged me $10.45. I attempted to switch it back to the original time of two hours, but it wouldn't let me. I met people for lunch who said they were able to use a smaller block of time. Was definitely overcharged.

This app is horrible. I only use it once a year when I'm traveling, and I always use it in a rental car. This year, I got to my destination, typed in the license number for my rental car, but then the app glitched and told me I had to start over, and I didn't notice that it defaulted to last year's rental car. I ended up having to pay for two parking sessions because of the wrong license number, and the app people said there was no way to switch and I was just stuck paying twice. Buyer beware!
