The latest update now allows the app to connect to the remote sensor and change the settings. Work by technical service now enables a rapid response by text and or email when the set temperature is exceeded. There is still no way to know when the temperature unit is unable to communicate with the app due to cell service signal loss. The ability to request a current temperature report at any time would close this risk gap substantially.
Was hoping this would be a good solution but so far NO GOOD. Ordered the unit and they started billing me for service on it a week before I even got it, then when I got it all I got was error messages about invalid User ID yet it was the one they kept sending me. Snow storm hit and temps dropped and still no monitor. They don't have 24 hour service yet they bill you for 24 hour service so when it doesn't work they have no one to assist you . Will probably return the unit next week as I need something dependable.
I would like the ability to ping for a fresh live reading. There are times That I get into the app and the temp reading is from the day before, or much earlier in the day and I want a current reading. I don't always keep the alerts active and when they aren't active it doesn't give as close to live readings. Other than that I really like the concept, and it is helping keep my show dogs safe.
When it works , it's good ...... But right now it keeps force closing on me . I have tried another phone and same thing .
Great app So far so good, just would like a way to turn the unit off.
