I have come back to this hame often throughout the years. there are no forced ads, and there is even an option in settings to turn off video offers. There are many ways to get the premium currency, so there is no need to spend money to progress through the game. Progress is a bit slow at times, but steady and satisfying. I love the strategy of building your own network of railways however you want to. It is also still being updated! One of the best games on the app store!

The game is fun, but it is a far slower grind than Pocket Planes. I have a game up to Lvl 16 and still run into the frustration of having to grind the game for two weeks to recover from the resources sunk into rearranging already-owned lines and engines. It takes an immense amount of planning to make money off the lines (not a complaint) so I don't think it should take a punishing amount of resources to shuffle the equipment you already have around.

My last review was in 2014, and I feel compelled to amend it. In a world where apps grow bigger and are constantly enhancing and upgrading, PT remains the same, and I love that about it. If you play this game, you play it to run a train network, not go crazy with gimmicks and wild mechanics. It's simple, it has not changed, and as the years go by, I respect the beauty of it. Log on, run a train network, and just vibe. 10/10, no notes. Well, the X axis could get labelled, but that's it.
