The ride data logging is useless. I was able to get it to track location by enabling location access all the time and disabling battery management. It will cancel your track if you navigate away from the app (to use maps, take a photo, etc.) At least it updates the firmware and changes the settings.

Well, right out of the box this has been an exercise in frustration. The app refuses to pair with the ninebot. It finds it, I click on it, it then tells me to pair it with Bluetooth and gives me a paragraph in Chinese which isn't terribly helpful to me. clicking on the checkmark does nothing. Going to the Bluetooth settings and trying to pair it that way ask me for a pin code. Which is not supplied and I can't find anywhere. None of the default choices that one might expect work. Junk.

This is the dashboard for your ninebot. Chinese app asks for access to your contacts, says this is the only way it can use the Bluetooth but I don't find any evidence for that on the internet. I used it to set a Password, perhaps if you don't someone else could connect and change to beginner mode while you're riding? Connecting takes a lot of tries, sometimes asks for the password and permissions again, apparently doesn't remember. Not useful while riding, but need it to check the odometer.
