Pros: charming, well done graphics. Great level design. Addictive, creative gameplay. Cons: small thing first, the ads. The biggest concern however is the controls which need to be fine tuned and play tested more by the developers. Spin mechanism doesn't work as well as it needs to, is inaccurate, and the after touch momentum is unpredictable. It's easier to play if you set the phone down and play with your index finger. The rotating mechanism should also be smaller than the sides of my devices screen.
Fantastic The only reason I won't give it a 5/5 is because of the ads that pop up when you die. I get that the developers need to pay their bills, but right now the ads just interrupts the gameplay. Maybe make the ads appear between switching different spheres(in the same level)?
The game isn't the problem The game is great. It's challenging and aesthetically pleasing, like a lot of nitrome games. The problem here is the ads, I usually don't mind ads, they allow the developer to generate revenue and still offer a free game. However. This game has ads that pop up out of nowhere in the middle of a level, right when you're trying to concentrate, the game pauses and brings up an ad. That's not okay at all, it gets in the way of gameplay.
An excellent grab & go / toilet game. Simple controls and a nostalgic and soothing presentation that go hand to hand in what could easily be one of the years most original and addicting game apps. The right ingredients and that special something that Nitrome games sprinkles on top of every game that comes out of their oven. P.S. This game will take you back to those 16 Bit era in game puzzles of the early 90s.
The ratings say it all, really. Great level design and an attractive atmosphere don't quite make up for the iffy control scheme. Navigating the stages isn't much fun, which is sad because they are gorgeous. Missing the tight controls on a game that revolves around them is what dampened my interest in this one. I stuck around for a good handful of levels, but it's not an app that I'll complete.
Amazingly perfect work of art!!! <3 This game is so beautifully made and very unique. You can tell a lot of love and dedication was put into the creation of this game. I've read quite a few reviews claiming that the ads ruin the game and that it's the developers greed causing the ads. How do you expect to play such a beautiful game for free? What do you expect? It costs money to make, run, and pay employees. They're not greedy, you're just ignorant. If anything, they should be charging for this work of art! I LOVE IT!!! Great job guys. 🎨💜🙆
