About this app

Use Stardroid to perform the most common field operations for Unidata Neon / Starlogger data loggers and DAA 350/500XL data loggers.

Depending on the data logger type you can:

- View real time readings
- Reconfigure or reprogram data loggers
- Unload data from data loggers
- View unloaded data files
- View data on the Neon web server (Neon loggers)
- Execute test functions e.g. SDI-12 transparent mode (DAA)
- View velocity histograms (Starflow)
- Built in scriptable terminal emulator for Bluetooth to serial, TCP/IP, UDP and circuit switched modems (via Bluetooth)

NOTE: WHEN FIRST DOWNLOADED, THE APP HAS RESTRICTED FUNCTIONALITY. YOU CAN UPGRADE TO A FULLY FEATURED APP BY PURCHASING THE FEATURES YOU WANT FROM WITHIN THE APP USING THE GOOGLE IN-APP BILLING SERVICE.

The communications default is Bluetooth to Serial (RS232). UDP and TCP/IP are also possible.
For Bluetooth communications we recommend the use of a NIWA Bluetooth Serial Extender. The device features an internal Li-ion battery so it's self powered, true RS232 line levels, controllable handshaking lines and a built in SDI-12 interface. Contact instruments@niwa.co.nz for ordering details.

View data files on a simple to use data viewer in tabular or graphical format. Scroll, stretch, pinch and zoom to narrow in on points of interest to review your data in the field

This is a work in progress and new features are added all the time. Other data logger types may be possible on request depending on demand and the availability of communications protocols.
Beta development work is in progress for supporting Campbell CR10/CR10X and Pakbus data loggers

If you have any problems or suggestions then don't hesitate to contact the developer.
