Shuddup and take my money! Been waiting for this one for a while now! Plays great so far on my tablet. It's probably too big but remaining hopeful we'll get III: Exile at some point. Loved Brad Duriff's acting in it xD Update: aged through entire game with all possible endings. Plays better than it ever did on my pc with the original Cd lol. CHANGE NOTHING it's perfect!
I loved the original game when it was released for PC, and this is an excellent reproduction. The controls translate well onto the touch interface, and the graphiucs hold up really well. The only major complaints I have are the amount of space the game took up on my device (1.2GB!) and that some of the achievements didn't appear to work. Otherwise, it's an excellent title and worth the purchase.
When I get out of the mini-sub and pull the lever at the teepee, the rope swing comes down but it won't let me get on. It just starts going back up on its own. I've played riven numerous times so I know what it's supposed to do. Now I can't finish the game. Not sure what to do. Playing this on my note 5.
Game is bugged and doesn't work. Controls are totally broken. I can't navigate anywhere in the game and am stuck standing right where I am at the opening of the game. Reading the intro book given to me by the NPC, and sometimes I can exit the book, and sometimes I'm stuck in the book and can't do anything at all. Sometimes I can open the menu to try and adjust the settings, and other times the on-screen buttons don't do anything at all. Absolute waste of money.
It's an overall good port of a fantastic classic game, but there are a few small things that should be fixed, for instance, the screen will timeout if you're not touching it periodically. For a game where note-taking is essential, this is a bit annoying. Still, the old graphics and cinematics are stunning even today, and the strange and beautiful worlds of Riven are just as immersive on the small screen as they were on the computer!
Played the PC version of this game and it is amazing! This mobile port crashes immediately when I start it from my SD card which is the only place I have room for it. Had to manually move it there via App Settings since it doesn't install on the card by default. I will update my review once I get it to work. I sent the devs a crash report so hopefully they will be able to fix the issue. This game is great if you can get it to work!
