Ratings and reviews

An unexpected (but very welcome) sequel to Knights of Pen and Paper 2. It's much easier to get more party members and professions, and additional classes are no longer hidden behind a paywall which is great. The issue is with leveling up skills and getting equipment. Skills can only be leveled up by books that rarely drop from enemies, by luck as a level up reward, or by buying stuff. You'll have level 12 characters with at most level 4 skills. No prob early on, but you feel the effects fast.

A big step down from the previous entries. This game is intent on trying to strip as much money from you as possible. the shop is incredibly expensive for what you get. story progresses in such a way as to outpace your character's level progression in an effort to get you to spend money at the over priced shop. just worse than the first two in every conceivable metric

For context, I played and beat Knights of Pen and Paper 1 & 2. This game is such a huge improvement over them. Personally, I have almost zero issues with the game, the only one being that you shouldn't have to spend a Premium currency to build your town. Granted this can all be earned in-game from Quests, but can most definitely feel like a grind. That being said, it is a FREE game so I understand why they did that. However, to also then tack on paying for certain items in the Marketplace? 4/5
