An unexpected (but very welcome) sequel to Knights of Pen and Paper 2. It's much easier to get more party members and professions, and additional classes are no longer hidden behind a paywall which is great. The issue is with leveling up skills and getting equipment. Skills can only be leveled up by books that rarely drop from enemies, by luck as a level up reward, or by buying stuff. You'll have level 12 characters with at most level 4 skills. No prob early on, but you feel the effects fast.

For context, I played and beat Knights of Pen and Paper 1 & 2. This game is such a huge improvement over them. Personally, I have almost zero issues with the game, the only one being that you shouldn't have to spend a Premium currency to build your town. Granted this can all be earned in-game from Quests, but can most definitely feel like a grind. That being said, it is a FREE game so I understand why they did that. However, to also then tack on paying for certain items in the Marketplace? 4/5

It starts off as enjoyable and rapidly goes downhill. The marketplace is filled with pricey gear that costs tens of thousands of gold or an exorbitant amount of gems. Likewise, leveling up just is not rewarding. You get two random buffs to pick from on level up and rerolling what you got costs an arm and a leg in gold. Worst of all, I feel like I've barely gotten stronger after 10+ levels while enemies just randomly roflstomp my party members.
