Quranic proverbs have reached the ultimate in importance due to their mastery of imagery and precise expression, and because they address everything that can illuminate a person's path in life and dispel the darkness of ignorance and misguidance. Quranic proverbs are a means of clarifying the ideas contained in the Holy Quran.

After this, Quranic proverbs are rulings, even if they do not directly address the usual rulings, such as direct commands or prohibitions. Because Quranic representation—even if it is a depiction of things—is not a depiction or personification of them for the sake of depiction and personification. Rather, it is intended to establish truth and eliminate falsehood, to reveal things as they are, and to judge for or against them.

Al-Shafi'i (may God have mercy on him) held that among the sciences of the Quran that a mujtahid must know is the science of parables. Al-Mawardi (may God have mercy on him) also considered it to be among the most important sciences of the Quran.

Our Sheikh, may God have mercy on him, said: There are parables in the Qur’an, and only the learned can comprehend the parables of the Qur’an, and that they are similar to one thing in its ruling, bringing the rational closer to the tangible, or one of the tangibles closer to the other, and considering one with the other, like the saying of God Almighty regarding the hypocrites: “And their example is like that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated and all around him was safe, God took away their light and left them in darkness. They cannot be patient. Deaf, dumb, and blind, so they will not return. Or like a rainstorm from the sky, within which is darkness and thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears - until His saying - Indeed, God is over all things competent.” So He gave two parables for the hypocrites according to their state, a parable of fire and a parable of water, because of what is in water and fire of illumination, radiance, and life, for fire is the substance of light, and water is the substance of life. God Almighty made the revelation that He sent down from the sky include the life and illumination of hearts, and for this reason He called it spirit and light, and He made those who are capable of being alive in the light, and those who do not raise their heads with it dead in the darkness. And He informed about the state of the hypocrites in relation to…” Their fortune from revelation is like that of someone who has lit a fire to provide light and benefit from it. This is because they converted to Islam, found light in it, and benefited from it.

- For me, I measure the importance of religious books that primarily focus on the Holy Quran by the extent to which I benefit from them.
For example, this book by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya discusses proverbs in the Holy Quran, explaining and detailing them with examples and examples. This topic used to occupy and fascinate me a lot when I read the Holy Quran. I wasn't satisfied with some general interpretations of the Quran, despite the great benefit I gained from them. However, I searched for a book that specialized in this specific topic. It won't be the last book on this topic, but it's a great start to delving into the sea of Quranic proverbs.

- Ibn al-Qayyim said: "The use of proverbs in the Quran provides useful information for reminders, preaching, exhortation, warning, consideration, confirmation, and bringing the intended meaning closer to the mind and portraying it in a tangible form, such that... Its relation to reason is like the relation of the tangible to the senses. The Qur'anic parables may include a statement of the difference in reward for praise and blame, reward and punishment, the exaggeration or disparagement of a matter, the confirmation of a matter and the nullification of another. And God knows best. Ibn al-Qayyim discusses the parables used in the Qur'an. His explanation of them is very beautiful and worth reading.
Hanan Mohamed

- The book is light and good, and sheds light on contemplating God's verses from another angle: the parables of the Qur'an.
Mohamed Jamal

- A beautiful and unique book in its subject.
Hossam Saeed

- I really liked his discussion of Qur'anic parables, their details, and the clarification of the similarities between them that may not be apparent from the apparent text. The book contains a very small number of parables mentioned in the Qur'an, but not all of them. It was originally part of another book, and his mention of these parables was a digression, but it was singled out and printed separately. Dhuha Baaqil
