Al-Wahidi (000 - 468 AH) (AD 1076 000) Ali bin Ahmed bin Muhammad bin Ali Al-Wahidi, Al-Naysaburi, Al-Shafi’i (Abu Al-Hasan) interpreter, grammarian, linguist, jurist, poet, news reporter. His origin is from Sawa, and from the children of merchants. He died in Nishapur in Jumada al-Akhirah, and he was old. Among his books are: “Al-Basit” in about 16 volumes of interpretation, “Al-Maghazi,” “Sharh Diwan Al-Mutanabi,” “Al-Ighrab fi Al-Arabization,” and “Negation of distortion from the Noble Qur’an.”

This book is one of the best and most correct books on the causes of revelation at all.

A great book..that brings you one step closer to the Qur’an, which most of us only pass by its words..and we fall short even in that.

I found it my purpose, useful manual. Get you what you are looking for. What I did not like about it, the lack of separation between the fence. Which made the search for a specific verse more difficult.

It is nice to know about the verses and the reasons for which they were revealed.. You will also learn about some stories about the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his companions, may God be pleased with them.

The book was taken from my father's library in an old copy - apparently - of Dar al-Fikr.. It is sequenced by surahs from Surat Al-Baqarah to Al-Ma'widhatayn, but it did not mention all the reasons for descending the surah.
