The “non-face-to-face national pension entitlement confirmation service” app is a dedicated app designed for overseas beneficiaries to quickly and conveniently check their national pension entitlements.
Foreigners and overseas Koreans receiving old-age disabled survivor's pension under the National Pension System must notify the National Pension Service of changes in their national pension entitlement, such as address delay, contact information, and changes in dependents every year.
This app provides identity verification service through biometric authentication and mobile document submission service, so that overseas beneficiaries can easily notify the NPS of changes in national pension entitlement "anytime" or "anywhere".
In addition, digital technologies such as block chain, facial voice authentication, DID, and FIDO were applied to secure information security and ease of use.
Contact-free NPS Verification Service
A new mobile App, Contact-free NPS Verification Service, is launched.
The Contact-free NPS Verification Service App is specifically designed for foreigners and overseas Koreans to help them report changes quickly and easily.
It is mandatory for those entitled to Old-age, Disability, or Survivor Pension under the National Pension Scheme to notify the NPS of any changes in his/her circumstances which may affect the eligibility to pension benefits. The changes include address, contact details, family member status, etc.
