About this app

Files Remote turns your Android phone or tablet into a local-network browser and file-transfer client for nearby Mac and Windows computers. Select folders on the host, approve pairing, then open those folders over the same Wi-Fi or LAN.

Browse and download:
- Navigate explicitly shared roots and subfolders
- Switch between list and grid views
- Sort by name, date, size, or type
- Filter items displayed in the current folder
- Select multiple files
- Download files and save them to Downloads
- Save supported images and videos to the gallery
- Send received files to the Android Share sheet

Manage when allowed:
- Create folders
- Upload regular files
- Select images or videos from the media library
- Rename files and folders
- Move items to Trash or Recycle Bin on the host
- Confirm permanent deletion when Trash is unavailable

The Mac or Windows host controls every paired device's access. Read only allows browsing and downloads. Read & Write also allows file-management actions. Permissions stay on the host and can be changed or revoked at any time.

Files Remote transfers content directly between paired devices through encrypted local requests. It does not require an account or upload your folders to a Files Remote cloud service.
Browse and manage shared Mac or Windows folders over local network or Wi-Fi.
