Nur al-Hifz accompanies you on your journey to memorize and master the Quran in the Warsh ʿan Nāfiʿ recitation (Maghrebi Muhammadi script used across Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia), reviving the centuries-old Salka tradition in a modern digital experience.
🕯️ The Salka Concept
The Salka is a venerable Maghrebi tradition of Quran memorization and revision built around continuous, structured khatmas (complete recitations). Nur al-Hifz translates this concept into an integrated digital practice that tracks your progress thumn by thumn, hizb by hizb, and rewards your consistency.

• Quran divided into 480 thumns following the Maghrebi order
• Awrad system: flexible planning, 1 wird = 1 to 2 thumns
• Three clear learning phases: Learning → Consolidation (spaced repetition 3, 7, 14, 30 days) → Maintenance (every 30 days)
• 8×60 heatmap to visualize progress across the whole Quran
• XP points, badges, levels, and milestones to keep you motivated
• 3 masking levels (30%, 60%, 100%) to train memory
• Audio recitation by Moroccan qari Kouchi — full surah streaming for all 114 surahs, with verse-by-verse synchronization being added progressively (starting with Surah 114)
• Two more reciters coming: Benkirane and El-Harraz
• Optional PIN code and biometric lock to protect your progress
• Optional Google Drive backup (limited scope: app-private folder only)
• PIN recovery via Google Sign-In
