NutriOct turns your phone's camera into a nutrition tracker. Tap Smart Scan, point at a meal or a barcode, and get a grounded, USDA-backed breakdown of what you're eating — calories, all six macros, plus sodium and cholesterol.
WHAT MAKES NUTRIOCT DIFFERENT
USDA-grounded by default
Most nutrition apps lean on user-submitted databases full of bad entries. NutriOct looks up every scan in the official USDA FoodData Central database and shows you exactly where the numbers came from. A colored source badge on every meal tells you whether the data came from USDA Branded, OpenFoodFacts, a USDA-grounded AI scan, or an AI estimate — so you always know how much to trust the entry.
Barcode scanning is free
Your phone's built-in barcode reader handles the scan locally. No API quota burned, no paywall, no "premium" tier. If the barcode resolves first, NutriOct skips the AI call entirely.
At-a-glance Today tab
Eight nutrition values, your daily goals, your logged meals, and a portion-preview radar — all on one screen, no extra taps. No clicking through menus to see what you've eaten.
