Ships of War is an offline naval strategy game built for quick, focused battles.

Place your fleet, read the command grid and sink the enemy line before your ships go under. Ships of War keeps the classic battleship idea familiar, then gives it a sharper solo tactical feel with irregular ship shapes, an 11 x 11 grid and five AI difficulty levels.

What’s new

Ships of War 2.56
- Adds a new Beginner difficulty before Easy for a gentler first battle.
- Makes the inactive board and fleet legend more clearly subdued at 25 percent visibility.
- Queues radio voiceovers so the announcer never talks over himself.
- Surviving enemy ships are now revealed with red outlines after a defeat.
- Adds Advanced and Basic graphics modes, with fire and smoke disabled in Basic mode.
- Refines the turn clock, menus, sinking effects and result banners.
