Prominent Disclosure & Accessibility API Usage:
This app uses the AccessibilityService API solely to perform the system-level action of turning off and locking the screen.
• Why Accessibility API is used: The AccessibilityService API allows the app to lock the screen without invalidating biometric authentication (such as fingerprint or face unlock) on Android 9 (Pie) and above.
• Data Privacy: This app DOES NOT collect, store, or share any personal or sensitive user data via the AccessibilityService API. The API is used strictly to execute the screen-lock action.

Permissions Used:
• Accessibility Service: Used exclusively to perform the screen lock action.
• Device Administrator Permission: Used on older Android versions as an alternative method to lock the device screen.

How to Uninstall:
1. Go to Settings > Security > Device Administrators > Uncheck "Lock Screen".
2. Go to Settings > Apps > Lock Screen > Tap "Uninstall".

In ancient history, I relied on a tap-to-lock feature on an older phone and OS, and then the feature was no longer supported by the system software on a later phone. This app worked flawlessly for many years. It suddenly stopped working in 2026 due to an OS upgrade, and the developer got on top of the issue and released the necessary update. And now it works like a charm, once again. Thank you so much!

Facing issues after the latest update. My phone screen locks automatically even when I don't tap the app icon. Please fix this bug in the next update.

Must have to reduce wear on the power button! Much better than similarly named apps. Simple & effective, with just the required permissions.
