Latest UI update make speed dial options harder to access. The previous UI was better. Clearing history upon exit should be made an automatic option instead of prompting every time the Exit option is selected. Also, please add an option in the overflow menu to request the desktop website. Newsfeed should be loosely coupled from Opera for those who don't want this feature. Opera should NOT run in the background after exiting. Get rid of the background remote service. And add extension support. Thanks.
This app is really great. Very easy to use has got all the features like bookmarks, speed dial, saving webpages to read when in offline mode. Besides there is a lot of Data saving. You can stream videos very well. Webpages appear clear. I have not found any app which is so robust in web browsing. Its 100% perfect. Brilliant job. And yeah you can easily block all ads.
Have been searching for a browser like this one for so long. Loved the options to remove news and other sponsored feeds from homepage. What I liked the most and was looking for is the speed dial and tablet view option which I could not find in other browers. Plus browse and search option is real simple unlike other browsers, search suggestions is way better and simpler than other browsers. Loved the white simple theme that is there with clean elements on homepage and hamburger menu. Navigation is really simple though it could have been better if some elements from the top navigation and hamburger could have been shifted to the bottom navigation which is currently missing in tablet view. I prefer using tablet view even on my phablet. Rest is all good. Please don't change this overall layout and look in your next update.
Opera browser is very good, with a nice user interface. However, the ability to switch to night mode seems to be missing in this version, making its white colours very uncomfortable for night browsing. Secondly, I preferred when the saved pages folder was one of the speed dials, and when the saved pages had icons which were in the form of images from the link which was saved. One could comfortably save an image as a page then, without having to download it.
It started crashing out of nowhere. This browser used to be the only browser in my former phone. This isn't strictly opera problem. The whole android ecosystem needs to catch up a lot with apple in terms of quality and reliability regarding the device manufactures not to give to much free reign in implementing android in their devices. That's why there are too many problems with the apps.
If it had a password amanger and synced desktop passwords with mobile, I'd declare war to other browsers and become unofficial hitman of opera in order to eliminate other browsers. Ad blocking and the eay it works is great. Just missing password thingy, else is good. Heil Opera!
