Been using Firefox for over 10 years exclusively Please keep up the amazing work. I've installed this on literally 1000s of systems and promote because it is secure (relative to other choices) however, you do not SANDBOX tabs or the app. This is a critical issue that I hope is addressed. Personally not an issue but is one thing it lacks. Mozilla team is amazing! Open source world wouldn't be what it is without you!

The world's best browser, in your hand! Firefox is the spiritual successor to the very first browser I ever used - Netscape - and it's just as good... The rendering engine (the part that puts Web pages together from code and displays them on your screen) isn't quite as quick as WebKit (used in Google Chrome) - though it's not too far off these days. Firefox is still my browser of choice however, primarily due to the browser being Open Source, its extensive cross-platform support, and the fact that it is so customizable.

Very nice. Been using Firefox for several years now on my tablet, cell phone and desktop. Like to be able to sync settings and bookmarks across multiple devices. Also like the fact that there are a multitude of add ons available. Sadly though it seems to have gotten somewhat slower over the last few iterations as compared to several other browsers I have used. Otherwise nice app.

Sync and other non functionality I rely on my browsers to provide cross platform syncing. I also want apps to give me accurate error messages. Firefox doesn't do this. The application on my Tab S2 won't sync, telling me it's not up to date. However Google Play says it is up to date, and what do you know? Checking for updates from the app itself results in a message that there are no updates. The help section says syncing is not supported for mobile browsers ... but I'm both using the app, AND the app on my Galaxy S5 syncs without issue.

Works awesome. I use firefox for years. Almost as good as the pc_browser. But it is the best android webbrowser. Especialy the add-ons to block almost all the advertisement, these days you cant surf one minute not seeing some sirt of advertisement. I hate advertisement, and because of firefox I can surf totaly ad-free. Go Mozilla. When I win a million bucks in the lottery I will give 10% to the developers of mozilla firefox and the adblockers.

Browser broken Does not clear on exit with settings applied. Used to a few months ago now it stopped with updates. Crashes randomly and uses alot of ram for no reason. It also is laggy and slow. What devices are devs using to test this on? Please fix ASAP. Will be going back to an old version that works correctly and better.

Solid, addons, freedom to deter tracking I had to root my phone to get chrome out of here (chrome baked in) but obviously Firefox is a solid browser you can get your addons, use sync to get your favorites, and the most important part have a browser from a solid foundation that is supporting your digital freedom. People make no mistake take your digital privacy as serious as your identity!
Really want to like it, but too slow This is the only free open browser that I can find, but the user experience is just painful. The browser often freeze for 10 sec when page would just become blank. Mozilla really needs to work on modernize and trim their code base before it's too late.
Supports browser extensions This is my browser of choice on mobile. I chose this for mobile because it supports add-ons (especially privacy ones) on mobile whereas Chrome does not (and probably never will). My gripes with Firefox: the customer support email on this page is a bogus one.
Slow as hell! I don't know what Mozilla has done to Firefox on pc and Android, but it is terrible. On pc it goes completely black, lags and freezes something awful. And it is not my computer because all my work computers do the same thing. On Android, it is slow and gets stuck on pages. I type in an address and it just stays on whatever stupid site I was on already. It also causes my phone to overheat. Not a cheap phone... Sony Xperia Z3+. I'm switching to Chrome... It sucks but not as bad as Firefox.
Was told that you could download internet videos to your device. Don't have the slightest idea how to make it do that ! Still cuts photos in half and stacks them on top of each other making a pdf. Won't copy all content to .pdf. Only 1 star because my issues have not been addressed. Will not shut off. Runs in the background and runs down your battery. When making a .pdf file, it copies the top and bottom page controls and interfers with text. Makes making a .pdf useless.
I LOVE the security and privacy controls!! Thats why i gave the second star!! Worth it!! But it shuts down my android.system.ui every few minutes. LG Volt if you wanna work on the issue. Loved Firefox for pc too!! Just doesnt like my phone. Ill try install again in a month or so.
Only had it for a day But until now it feels really good! Faster and lighter than Chrome and Facebook stopped pestering me to install their Messenger. I can just read/write Fb messages from within the browser which is great!
Memory Usage issues Two of my Apps tell me that Firefox is not using memory well, or not correctly, or even just too much. My built in Task Manager continually shows me a Yellow, or Red warning from this App. Why is it so Memory intensive? Even after I have cleared all the Cache. In fact even clearing 'everything' available, it still seems like a Memory Mis-user. This is even without a page loaded, just a fresh tab NOT even connected to the Internet yet.
Supports Add-ons The support for add-ons is my reason for using Firefox for most of my browsing on android. Ads on many mobile sites have become so intrusive, they make the sites nearly unreadable. The ability to block those ads (of at least most of them) with an add-on is a big plus.
Firefox has been crashing recently I have had multiple episodes of something causing my Firefox to crash at start. I've had to delete my data to be able to run the app. Frustrating. Hope this issue is soon resolved, as there is no Firefox substitute.
Sometimes slow, but configurable! Supports everything you need. Extensions get rid of the "your device has infected 4 viruses" scummy adverts that plague sites these days and you don't have to deal with Chromes "link preview" zoom boxes. It used to be a bit slow and laggy scrolling but has improved a lot recently. Adjustable via about:config for when you find things missing in the rather limited options menu.
Crashes Constantly I've never had a worse experience with a browser. I couldn't tell you how many times it has exited me out of whatever page I was on and completely crashed to the point of not even saving my webpages I had pulled up. And then I would have to start all over, bring my pages back up, just for another crash to happen. I will never download and use this again and I will also spread the word about all the complications I experienced over and over
Majorly Flawed Firefox reloads the webpage every time you reopen it! I would be filling out a form, and switch from Firefox to my notes app to copy some text. Come back only for the page to reload and all my data gone! If I were reading something, I'd lose my place as when it reloads it goes to the top of the page! Adblock works, but is very slow.
It's OK if you like constant crashes App can be counted on to crash on a regular basis. Android 5.0.2 on Samsung Galaxy Tab 4. An ongoing phenomenon that doesn't seem to improve with the various updates. I compare that with Chrome on the same machine which I have NEVER observed to go South. I really prefer the feature set on Firefox but.......
too slow and deletes my downloads love firefox on my laptop and desktop but the performance of this browser on my note 4 is awful. page loads are slow if they even finish loading at all. UPDATE: the last couple of updates has introduced an issue where it will delete any file that i have downloaded with it when i close the browser, unless i move the file before closing the browser. WTF Yo!
Fix/Give Solutions I like this browser but if I'm trying to read web pages and the browser takes so long to load up (even using desktop request site), browser will close itself and return back to the androids main homescreen. Makes looking for things on the browser a pain and frustrating.
Great, but needs work on stability. Firefox is a great Android browser - it has tons of features, add on support, syncing, sharing images and links... I really like using it b ut it's sometimes too unreliable. Some pages take too long to load and there are occasional crashes.
Very good browser I notice a tremendous evolution of FF Android since its first versions. Well done guys! Now, it's for me a bit inexplicable the lack of the function 'save link as...', hopefully to be included soon...
love it, HOWEVER... I went on dumb 'ole facebook and tried edit a comment and it won't let me place the curser to correct the mistake, I have to delete everything I typed to get back to the typo... I had it on my Samsung Galaxy Rush and now I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4...
Utterly pathetic attempt You cannot edit or change any text you have typed without deleting everything after it, due to the typing bar being fixed at the end. This app crashes all the time, and the "support" site soes not allow you to ask questions or report on problems, which is probably the reason this app is so terrible. Well done Firefox, you win the prize for least effort.
Good But Buggy Only reason I use this on my tablets and phone now is its ability to sync with my desktop Firefox. However, that sync is still rather buggy, hence only 4 stars. Have no doubt it will improve with time as its desktop version has steadily,
Good most of the time Does anyone else have a problem when using Facebook Mobile via the browser? I can't move the cursor when making comments and can't copy, paste or even get the copy/paste menu bar to show up no matter what I do. I have to use chrome whenever I'm on Facebook... Very annoying!
It works great but Every time I update the app I lose the open tabs I had opened in it. It's annoying to lose links not yet read because of an update. I know tabs are not for bookmarking, but are useful. Check it out please
Search bar Care less what "you " perceive users want or don't want. I KNOW we demand a seperate search bar... After all the complaints how hard can it be to put the damned thing back?
Firefox works well Really appreciate the fact that I could stream YouTube audio while opening other browsers or windows during my use of Firefox. I can't do that with other browsers and thus find Firefox very useful for my smartphone multitasking needs. 👍
Crashes and bugs I got this bowser to replace Chrome because it used too much space on my phone. But I can barely use it because of the number of bugs and crashes I got from it. Fix the problem and I might give it a chance. I sent a number of crash reports and nothing is changing.
Love it Firefox is my favorite browser on the PC and it's working very fine on Android, too. The extension support makes using it a no brainer. Sometimes it's a bit slow (compared to Chrome) but nothing major.
WTF! I love firefox nightly on my PC but WTF on my Galaxy s5, 3 second delay when i press anything onscreen, ages to load pages. Stutter reloading when I scroll up & down the page I've already loaded. Random screen enlargment when only using 1 finger. adds loading even though I got addblock plus installed... Sort your sh1t out smartphones wern't made uesterday!
Just a few bugs Having problem communicating with CM Security app, it crashes. CM Security locks the browser with password. Upon and after unlocking Firefox does not respond. Nevertheless Firefox, Continues to play YouTube even when you open another application or go to new tab. Chrome does not have that feature. Backend Firewall is nice.
Love it on desktop But has serious issues on android with my lg g3: it is verry slow to load pages. Every time I visit a page and switch to any other app, even for 3 seconds - like to change a song, the browser forces a refresh. Loads of available ram and storage memory. YouTube links open on the mobile site even though I have the app installed. No way to change that. Needs lots of ux improvements.
Sooooo Sloooowww Used to love this browser because of the ability to customise it w/add-ons. The Android version is notoriously slow, and seems to crash constantly. All the updates from Mozilla have done is increase the amount of space needed for the app while decreasing over-all performance. Uninstalling in favor of Chrome.
Keeps crashing on my S6 Love Firefox, I use it on my Pc and have done for many years. So why is the app so poor?? Crashes after a minute or two regularly, very annoying.
Painfully slow on my brand new galaxy x7 edge pauses and freezes loads. Seems to have absolutely no control over pop ups, redirects and pop unders you just get bounced around endless making browsing very difficult, the back button doesn't work on some sites. It was like going back in time 10 years to the bad old spam days. I noticed a banner add at the bottom of the page of some sites which isn't there in chrome.
Getting better, I will only use Firefox for any device The deeper I dig into IT the more disgusted I am, that's why I give devs so mutch hell, Mozilla is working for our privacy but something more needs to be done from the hardware level up if we are to have any real privacy.
