Accidentally removed a sensor from view. When I figured out how to restore it, the panel was placed out of order. I have 8 soil Moisture sensors. Two have died after 1y and 4 others connect but always show 0%. The app interfaces are confusing and difficult to use. Cant rearrange the device panes, can't rename the moisture sensors. After having the ecowitt equipment for many years, it's time to move on something else.

I decided to compare this to the Ecowitt app. In general, I prefer to avoid the cloud in using IoT devices. So this fits my needs better than Ecowitt. But it totally lacks any widgets or shortcuts that would really make my weather station information available to me Android devices on the home screen. So this is rather meh at best.

App mostly supercedes the WS View app, but it doesn't inform you or upgrade for you. Some weird defaults for settings that don't even appear in the other app, but nevertheless affect how the device functions, so you come back 10 months later and discover the device has reset its yearly rain totals in February 1 instead of January 1. Try to change it from this app, and you find it's got an "interesting" idea of how month dropdown boxes should function. Press it 40 random times and it might work.
