The instructions are lacking: I tried to add GW1000 wifi device,it didn't connect, and I couldn't understand why. Then I saw the review that it worked on iPhone and started my iPad.When I reached the step I was having problems with, I got way clearer instructions: after reboot you must to check your wifi networks list,and you will find the internal-no internet wifi for device. You need to connect to it, and then everything goes more or less OK on android as well, but it is not clear from message

The app has mostly been superceded by the WSView Plus app, but this doesn't really tell you that. This app has access to most of the settings that are in the ecowitt device, but doesn't know about some, so you come back 10 months later and discover the device has reset its yearly rain totals in February 1 instead of January 1, and there's no way to change it from this app.

The app was working fine, until mid October 2022 when it just stopped working. Up to that point, the only complaints were, it needed location to be on, which reduced battery life, and a particularly days data couldn't be chosen, you had to check and if a record of the data was needed, a screenshot would need to be taken before midnight. However now the app doesn't even work, it won't take data from the WU website, dispite configuration. I am now using the WU website instead. App uninstalled.
