About this app

When the print blurs, you go looking for your reading glasses. They are never where you left them, and even with them on, a shaky hand makes the letters shake too.
Your phone is always within reach. This app makes the print large on it and freezes the screen so you can read at your own pace.

■ Freeze it and let go
· Tap the big circle in the middle and the picture stops there
· Put the phone down and hold the paper with both hands
· Pinch or drag the frozen picture to look closer

■ Faint print turns white on black
· One tap on Contrast makes it sharp black and white
· One more tap turns it white on black
· Works while you are looking, and after you have frozen it

■ Turn the light on in dark places
· A dimly lit restaurant, the pharmacy counter, the back of a kitchen drawer
· Tap again to turn it off

■ Straight from Quick Settings
· One tile and the phone becomes a magnifier
· No hunting through the app drawer

■ There are only five buttons
· Six steps of zoom: 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4 and 5 times
· It opens at 2x every time — it does not remember your last setting
· Save the picture or send it to your family if you need to

The dosage on a pill packet, a receipt, an instruction sheet, a best-before date, the small type on a business card.

■ What it does not have
· No ads
· No account, no sign-in
· No subscription, no purchase
· It never asks for internet permission — there is no way for it to send anything
· No settings screen

■ Worth knowing
· The only permission it uses is the camera
· Saving to Photos needs Android 10 or later. On older phones, use Send instead
· Zoom stops at 5x — beyond that the letters blur, so we left it out
· This is digital zoom, so sharpness depends on your phone’s camera

Built for my mom. That is why there are only five buttons.
If small print has started to blur for you, it works just as well at any age.
