Every morning: open YouTube, find the channel, scan the titles for today's date.
Some days you watch yesterday's before you notice.
Start the day with the Word.
When your car's Bluetooth connects, or at the hour you chose,
today's devotional opens by itself. No digging through your phone at the wheel.
Three channels are already in
· QT-in
· Living Life
· Daily Bible
If your church follows a different one, add it yourself.
Paste a YouTube playlist link and it works the same way.
It picks today's
· It reads the date written in the title, not the upload time
· So it still finds today's on channels that post a day ahead
· If today's is not up yet, you choose whether yesterday's should open
When should it open
· At a set time — no device needed
· When earphones or a speaker connect — the moment it connects, inside your window
· Name your car audio and it opens only in that car
· A different time on each day — mornings on Mon/Wed/Fri, evenings on Tue/Thu
You can also choose notify-only instead of opening it.
A heads-up comes five minutes early, with skip-today and snooze-ten-minutes right there.
One tap from the home screen
· Tap the widget and today's opens
· There is a Quick Settings tile too
· Opening it by hand is always free
Price
· The first 60 automatic opens are free
· After that, one purchase. Not a subscription
· By hand and by widget stays free forever
What it does not have
· No ads · No account · No subscription · No settings screen
· It does not save or download video. It opens the YouTube app
· We do not know what you listened to. Nothing leaves your phone
Worth knowing
· The YouTube app must be installed
· If your phone is locked it may not open right then.
You get a notification, and it opens the moment you unlock
· To open by itself it needs "Display over other apps"
· Volume follows your phone. At media volume 0 you will hear nothing
· The videos belong to each channel. We neither make nor host them
· If a channel starts a new playlist, the app may need an update
"Built for myself" is a series of apps I actually use.
Instead of adding features, I took them away.
Not a reading app. Today's devotional video opens by itself. 60 free, then once
