About this game

Burrowland is a star battle puzzle game with animals, set in a field notebook. Place one burrowing animal in every colored burrow, one in each row and one in each column, and never let two animals touch, not even at the corners. Every solved board unlocks real facts about the animal on that page.

HOW TO PLAY
• The rules of a classic star battle puzzle, with animals instead of stars: each colored burrow holds exactly one animal, and every row and every column holds one too.
• Two animals may never sit next to each other, diagonals included.
• Tap once for an X, twice for an animal, or drag across empty cells to mark many X at once.
• Every board has exactly one answer you can reach by logic alone. No guessing.

A FIELD GUIDE TO FILL
• 12 real burrowing animals: European rabbit, meerkat, European badger, Atlantic puffin, burrowing owl, European mole, wombat, armadillo, fennec fox, prairie dog, pangolin and ground squirrel.
• Every 5 boards unlock a new fact: the animal's name in other languages, the year it was described, its family and order.
• Each page shows the scientific name and IUCN status. The next page opens when you finish the one before.

• 300 star battle boards in 12 animal pages, growing from 5×5 to 10×10, free to play.
• A new daily board every day, with a day streak.
• Every board was checked by a solver: one answer, solvable without guessing, difficulty rising without jumps.

• No lives, no visible timer and no game-over screen. Animals that touch light up in red, and you simply undo.
