Read the weekly CFTC Commitment of Traders report in seconds instead of hours.
Every Friday the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission publishes the Commitment of Traders report, showing how the largest participants in the currency futures market are positioned. The raw COT data is a wall of numbers. COT Pulse turns it into a clear picture of forex market sentiment across eight major currencies.
WHO IT IS FOR
Beginners who want to know what the COT report is saying without learning to parse a CFTC spreadsheet, and experienced traders who want positioning, price and extremes together on one screen.
THREE TABS, ONE DATASET
Simple
One sentiment card per currency. See whether hedge funds are net buyers or net sellers, how far positioning moved this week, and where the COT index sits inside its own three year range.
Detail
A single currency in depth: the COT index gauge, a hedge fund net position chart across 14 weeks, 52 weeks or full history, and a plain language reading of what the week actually shows.
Pro
Price plotted against all three trader groups on one panel, with shaded extreme zones and the current net position of each group in contracts.

UNDERSTANDING THE THREE CATEGORIES
The CFTC groups traders into three categories, and COT Pulse labels all three accurately.
Hedge funds, listed by the CFTC as non-commercial, are large speculators who tend to follow trends. Commercial hedgers hold real business exposure in the underlying market and have historically been the better informed side at positioning extremes. Retail traders sit below the CFTC reporting threshold and are recorded as non-reportable.
Many tools collapse these into a single "smart money" number. COT Pulse keeps them separate, because the distinction is where the useful signal lives.
WHERE THE DATA COMES FROM
CFTC Commitment of Traders, Legacy report, futures only. Published each Friday at 15:30 ET and reflecting positions held the prior Tuesday. Price data comes from European Central Bank reference rates. History reaches back more than two decades, so an extreme is measured against real precedent rather than a few recent months.
BUILT FOR FOREX TRADERS
COT Pulse is a focused forex sentiment tool. There is no account to create, no broker to connect and no portfolio to set up. Open the app and the current week is already there.
IMPORTANT
COT Pulse presents public market data for information and education. It is not investment advice and it does not forecast prices. Trading foreign exchange involves substantial risk, and past positioning does not indicate future results. Always do your own research.
